The most interesting part of CRESET’s creatine water is sitting above the water.

**CRESET is a forthcoming drink designed to store 5 grams of creatine monohydrate dry inside its cap until you’re ready to mix it.** Twist to unlock, press to release the powder, then shake. The company lists 16.9-ounce bottles and describes the formula as containing zero sugar and electrolytes. [Meet CRESET](https://drinkcreset.com/).

For anyone who already takes creatine, the appeal is easy to picture: one bottle to grab, with the measuring handled. No searching through a powder tub for the scoop that somehow keeps migrating to the bottom.

## Why keep creatine out of the water?

There’s a formulation reason behind the packaging.

[Creatine](https://www.mayoclinic.org/drugs-supplements-creatine/art-20347591) can gradually convert to creatinine after it’s dissolved. How quickly that happens depends on conditions including temperature and acidity. Research has examined how refrigeration and different formulations affect that stability. It doesn’t mean creatine becomes ineffective the moment you stir it into a glass. [Research on creatine stability in solution](https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC2750587/).

CRESET’s approach keeps the powder separate during storage and combines it with the drink just before use. That’s a sensible design concept, although it doesn’t independently establish the finished product’s shelf life or potency.

## What does the 5-gram dose offer?

[Creatine monohydrate](https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/treatments/17674-creatine) is one of the most studied exercise supplements. Evidence supports its usefulness for repeated, short bursts of intense activity, such as lifting weights and sprinting. Studies commonly use maintenance amounts of 3 to 5 grams daily. Benefits for endurance exercise are less clear. [NIH guide to exercise supplements](https://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/ExerciseAndAthleticPerformance-Consumer/).

CRESET’s advertised amount fits within that commonly studied range. Those findings concern creatine supplementation, however, rather than trials of CRESET itself. The cap makes the routine more convenient; it doesn’t establish better results than an equivalent amount of powder mixed at home.

## What we still want to know

We haven’t tried CRESET, so its claims about mixing smoothly and leaving no grit remain untested by us.

The full ingredient list will also matter. “Zero sugar” doesn’t explain whether a drink contains sweeteners, and “electrolytes” needs quantities before you can assess what it contributes. We couldn’t verify those details from the current site.

For now, CRESET is an interesting product to watch for people who already use creatine and want fewer preparation steps. Its most compelling idea is refreshingly practical: put the measured powder where you won’t forget it.

Right on top of the water.
